This is a close up on my face; I tried to get it as creepy as I could. It scared the crap out of most of the kids at my school's Halloween dance. The headband is elastic with fabric sown over it and the horns are ducttape rolled up and sown in with the headband.

I made the wings and hat mask thing from scratch, and did her face paint, everything else I scrounged from around the house :P

My grandmother, my cousin and I put together this costume and then I took one of those pot holder doily things and added strings of beads to hang of of it for the headdress. It turned out awesome. (The headdress took so long to make!) ^_^

2006-11-01 [Sunrose]: [Diiwica]: Your entry has been removed. You can hardly see the costume you created and I don't understand how that is 'the essence' of it :/
[pdiotte]: Your entry has been removed, because it doesn't really show a costume or make-up. You can only see part of the hood.

The wiki has been divided into 'clothing' and 'make-up', because some of the submitted entries aren't actual costumes but revolve more around the make-up applied to the face (and upper-body) :)
The actual goal is to submit a whole home-made costume, but I don't want to dismiss the wonderful artistic make-up :)

[Moonlit Serenade]: it would be cool if you could get a picture of your costime with brighter light :)
Moira: I was wondering if the outfit you're wearing was also self made...? :)

2006-11-02 [Moonlit Serenade]: I would love to get a better picture, but the camera just went with my friend's father to New Orleans. ^^ But maybe, by some strange luck, someone will have a camera I can borrow within the next six hours or so. *hopes*

2006-11-02 [moira hawthorne]: the rule say...

1. Costumes must have been put together and designed by YOU.

No store sold this costume... it was designed interiorlty out of my fevered brain. I conceived it over this month.. changing it as weather and time to get dress allowed... so in detail... I put together my outfit.. of parts are sewn by me plus parts bought over the years.. None of it has been worn all together as this outfit before... The hat and jacket are authentic antique top hat and tails... the white shirt I sewed myself... the grey shirt was bought this year... the fitted pants socks and boots were bought all at different times... the socks are from when I was a teen... I was going to wear my leather S&M-B&D outfit I made myself... under the tails but it was abit cold.. and the thigh high leather boots I made... well I had them on at one point.. but they didnt quite fit anymore... and had to somehow pull them off myself without help... and pulled several muscles doing so...
